Women In Media welcomed members to our office at the Tiffen Technical Center for complimentary breakfast and an optional seminar. Our friends at Tiffen were on hand during breakfast to show our members the latest in Steadicam gear. After registration and breakfast, we had a short welcome and handed out DeWalt Tools to Work kits, Movie Magic software codes (valued at $279.88 each), and WIM Bucks to lucky winners!

During the meeting, folks got to know each other quickly and forged new relationships. Members in all departments will spent quality time getting to know each other, followed by the optional Thriving Together Seminar.

Thriving Together Seminar

Thriving Together seminar is an active, hands on approach to presenting yourself and networking effectively. This seminar is aimed to address impostor syndrome, social anxiety, and fear of rejection, setting you up for success. WiM Executive Director Tema Staig lead this popular seminar.

We discussed how to market yourself and build confidence. Being a member of Women In Media gives you an edge in the competitive world of entertainment. This seminar explained some of the best ways to use your membership and leverage our community for support and prestige. The tools are in place to set you up for success, whether you are an accomplished pro or just getting started.

Post Event Relationship-Building

Attendees who opted-in received a contact sheet via email about a week later. We suggest that attendees go to coffee or lunch with 3 – 5 new friends from the meeting to build their network.
